Yakushima Beach // Open

[Once you enter through the door with an obvious yellow scarf tied around the doorknob, you'll find yourself on the soft, warm sands of the beach. This isn't just any beach, of course, but the beach at Yakushima! For now, the skies are clear of all clouds as the sun shines down and causes the clear, blue ocean to sparkle. It's really a gorgeous sight. ... Unfortunately, it's a private beach so there are no babes in bikinis, but Thanatos can hope that a few babes from the Mall will drop by so he can gaze upon their curves.

He's also currently setting up a small spot on the beach. At the moment it's just two beach chairs, one for Orpheus, along with a huge beach umbrella and a few towels. Thanatos seems really exited as he strips off his shirt so now he's only in black swim trunks with a pattern of little, white skulls. How adorable. ... He then pauses to look at a bottle of sun tan lotion. He remembers his Junpei once mentioning how girls liked it when they had it rubbed on their backs. Thanatos has a mission. For now, though, he's going to set the bottle aside and zoom off towards the ocean. THIS IS SO EXCITING, HE'S BEEN WAITING FOR THIS.

... Can Death even swim? Looks like we'll all get to find out as he splashes into the waves.]

[Headpat. *A* Oh well, at least he doesn't have to talk to Yukari about why he apologized to her all of the sudden. ...Unless she remembers.]

Eh, probably some obscure Ryoji-ism. She decides to let it go in favour of leaning back against the side of the chair. Ahh, the sun~

"Well, there's worse places to nod off, I guess."

[See? She's not asking about it. Now cut it out. But yes ffff- sun so warm *A* Do want. Then leans back on the chair and rests an arm over his eyes to keep from being blinded. And of course there's worse places to nod off. Like being the first person to pass out in a party of drunks with access to sharpie markers. Or behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. Or on a roof in spring before you were able to say goodbye to your friends. ... orz]

[Leans back against the other side of the chair as being so close to Orpheus was comfortable. Ahh, the sun... Wait, why was he so feverishly hot all of the sudden when he hadn't been just seconds before? He sets his fingers to his forehead and zones out of consciousness for a moment.]

Yukari does not, alas, notice this, as she is leaning on the opposite side of the chair, sliding her sunglasses down over her eyes. She hums quietly under her breath for a moment before settling.

Remember the last time we were here, Orpheus?

[Alas, he doesn't either with the arm still draped over his eyes. It's nice to just relax for once without worrying of the consequences. Little blessings and all that.

Pfft, like he'd ever forget. You getting angry and about to hit me (again), calming you down afterwards (again), and the perfect moment being ruined by Junpei (again). ... Huh. There's a pattern with this.]

[Shakes off the violent headache and closes his eyes. Sure is quiet...]

Bright sun, sand, and a Minato; pretty much all she could ask for right now. She's smiling pretty wide, eyes closed, the beach a far cry from the gloomy blue of the Velvet Mall.

She'd probably be less freaked out if you tried for the hug again, but that would require effort, wouldn't it.

[You get used to the blue after a while... orz That's not a good thing is it. And he knows you would be less freaked out! But you called it - that involves effort. Like moving. And right now just chilling in the sun is niiiice. Also wondering if you two would get mad if he fell asleep again. Decisions decisions...]

[If you fall asleep you're getting buried with sand. A lot. Unfortunately, the feeling of heat stroke is returning to Thanatos. He gets up without a word and goes to drown himself in the cool ocean.]

Yukari glances up, noticing him stand. Back into the ocean, huh? Alright, she'll just stay here and guard the Orpheus. He'll come in handy if she needs to cool some drinks.

"Don't go in too far, Thanatos." she calls, before leaning back again.

[Like mentioned above, he wouldn't care. Just don't mess up my music. ... Eh. He left? It's enough to get him to lift up his arm just enough to see what's going on before putting it back down. Ocean. Right.] At least he's having fun.

All right, Yukari!

[Cue splashing sounds from afar as Thanatos reaches the ocean.]

"Yeah. Too bad he's got the common sense of a newborn puppy." she says, tilting her head backwards to look at him. "He doesn't even know how to swim, y'know."

That's just how he is. [Blinks at the second part, not like you could tell or anything. But the brief moment of "derp" is almost audible. ... So that's why he mentioned it.] He got that from me.

[The not being able to swim part. Didn't know those kind of quirks would carry over, my bad.]

[The sound of splashing suddenly ends. There's a moment of silence where Thanatos seems to be staring at something in the water before ... SPLASH! Thanatos ganks himself a fish. The fish flails before it slaps Thanatos with its tail and then proceeds to splash back into the water and swim away as fast as possible.] Oh no, come back!

[Cue more splashing noises where Thanatos fails to swim.]

She's about to ask about the 'got it from me' part when the yelling catches her ear; she turns her head, seeing Thanatos dive headfirst into the water. Oh, god.

"...uh, Orpheus?"

What part of don't go in too far did you misunderstand, dude?

[Wasn't looking up at the yelling. Used to him being an idiot all the time. But the subsequent Yukari comment is enough to make him sit up and stare. Must be something fantabulously retarded. ... What do you know, it is. B| Damnit sir LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY. But it's a cue to throw off his headphones onto the chair and run out after the drowning associate, suit and all. Common sense and thinking before acting? Pfft, who does that anymore.]

[Splashes like a fantabulous retard until suddenly he realizes all he has to do to not drown is to stand there. ... Which he does. The wet sand feels nice between his toes - Oh hi, Orpheus. Came to swim with me? ... Except you're still in your suit.] I didn't realize I could just stand this deep! I lost the fish, though...

"...ugh. Idiot."

Smack him one for her, Orpheus. She'll just rearrange her towel for better leaning.

[Grabs by the shoulder and drags him out to the edge of the water. You're standing? Okay. You're facing at a 45 degree angle to the left? Okay. Cue Compendium summoning and BOOK TO THE SKULL. Enjoy your faceplant in the sand. Then just sends it back to hammerspace and casually walks away. Yukari pretty much said it best just then-]

[NO, NOT THE COMPENDIUM - Everyone is so cruel to him today! Oh well, he'll just be having a concussion with his face in the sand right now.]

Awesome. Yukari will quietly filch Orpheus' music, giggling quietly at Thanatos' faceplant, before flipping through his track list. She's always wondered what he has on here to be listening to it so often.

[You can't say you didn't deserve it! Half-drowning yourself to catch a fish who even does that fffffffff- IDIOT. Have fun looking through it. Hasn't been updated in, what, two years plus? I'll be standing over here and wringing excess water out of my pants. o-orz I'll end up having to replace it soon I know it.]

[At some point just flops his entire body into the sand and watches the waves come towards him and back. Zoning out time is now.]
