Yakushima Beach // Open

[Once you enter through the door with an obvious yellow scarf tied around the doorknob, you'll find yourself on the soft, warm sands of the beach. This isn't just any beach, of course, but the beach at Yakushima! For now, the skies are clear of all clouds as the sun shines down and causes the clear, blue ocean to sparkle. It's really a gorgeous sight. ... Unfortunately, it's a private beach so there are no babes in bikinis, but Thanatos can hope that a few babes from the Mall will drop by so he can gaze upon their curves.

He's also currently setting up a small spot on the beach. At the moment it's just two beach chairs, one for Orpheus, along with a huge beach umbrella and a few towels. Thanatos seems really exited as he strips off his shirt so now he's only in black swim trunks with a pattern of little, white skulls. How adorable. ... He then pauses to look at a bottle of sun tan lotion. He remembers his Junpei once mentioning how girls liked it when they had it rubbed on their backs. Thanatos has a mission. For now, though, he's going to set the bottle aside and zoom off towards the ocean. THIS IS SO EXCITING, HE'S BEEN WAITING FOR THIS.

... Can Death even swim? Looks like we'll all get to find out as he splashes into the waves.]

It's like Orpheus is right here with you! She pulls you up now and stumbles back, giving him a flat look with her hair plastered down around her face.

[There's a moment of silence. Then... Suddenly, he laughs.] That was fun!

...pfft. What does it take to rattle you? She sighs, pushing some hair out of her face.

"I guess. C'mon, let's get back to the beach. I need to dry off."

All right. [Proceeds to follow Yukari out of the ocean even as he shakes water out of his short hair. It's going to be so salty for days!]

If Orpheus is still awake, we can has some triple trouble?

Not to mention the sand. Sand everywhere. She finds her towel and starts drying her hair. It'll be flat, but at least it won't be flopping in her face. She shoots a glance over to the umbrella again; Orpheus seemed to be sleeping again.

We both went to sleep but she can jump in for sure when she wakes up :3

[Thanatos heads for his own towels which are, of course, over by the sleeping Orpheus. Feel free to follow since Thanatos is suddenly sitting on a towel and trying to bury Orpheus' feet in the sand now.]

Sounds like a good plan. She manages to dry her hair and get it to something approaching managability then takes her stuff over there, plopping down on Orpheus' other side.

[Still works on burying Orpheus' feet. Pats the sand flat and then continues to pile more sand onto his legs.]

Let's see how much we can bury him before he wakes up!

"Oh yeah, I'm sure he'd appreciate that." Snrk. Poor guy, looks so peaceful right now...better pat down that sand around his feet a little more.

Oh, he will. [Laughter to go with that pat from Yukari. Now he gets to tag team with her to bury the poor, unsuspecting Orpheus. Oh well, more sand is being dumped on that growing pile there.]

She'll be nice and stops when it gets halfway to his knees. Not like the poor guy needs more harrassment. She glances up at Orpheus' face, dozing peacefully away.

"...he really does look tired, huh?"

He looks a lot better now after some rest here. Staying at the Mall so long without a break was making him sick. I was really worried about him... That's why I dragged him to this beach.

Nyx is the Mother of all Shadows. The reason the Dark Hour exists in your world is because of her coming... She could very well be the Fall. It matters on what your Minato decides... Otherwise, the presence of Nyx makes Orpheus feel sick because of his duty as the Seal.

The thoughts whirl and click in Yukari's head; Ikutski-san's betrayal, the reveal that destroying the twelve Shadows didn't get rid of the Dark Hour...this Nyx was the mother of all that?

And that one time she'd spoken to Orpheus...he'd been cold. She looks up at him, still sleeping, and lowers her voice.

"...this has to do with his death, then?"

She gives a moment's pause before swallowing, continuing on. No sense in only knowing half the story.

"I still don't know the whole thing...if Nyx is the mother of all Shadows, that means we have to defeat her. But...a Seal?"

Nyx is impossible to defeat. That's why there needed to be a Seal in place so the desire to die from all of humankind could never touch her once more. Those malevolent feelings became one super being called Erebus... He's the reason Orpheus still suffers. All Erebus wants is to break Orpheus and get to Nyx. So if there's a Nyx about the Mall... Erebus tries harder to get through.

Then she proceeds to give him a flat look. "You kidding? You're a nice enough guy, but having you around 24-7 would be tiring."
