Velvet Mall // Open

[Thanatos is currently alone in the Velvet Mall rather late at night. He was tired but lately he could barely sleep at all with the realistic nightmares that occur whenever he had his eyes shut. Anyway, at the moment he is sitting at a table with the Compendium in his arms which he obviously took from Orpheus. He opens the book and leafs through a few of the pages before shutting it with a sigh. How was he supposed to save Orpheus from ceasing to exist when he couldn't even master Persona fusion quite right? He was such a lost cause ... If only he could just switch places with Orpheus. Except Orpheus would never allow that to happen. They both had to exist in the end... If only Thanatos knew how. He just didn't know enough and Orpheus only had a year left before he went back into the Seal.]

Worthless...

[Sighs and sets the Compendium down on the table so he can also set his arms on the book and then smack his head down without too much of a headache. He should really practice Persona fusion more but with Orpheus always suffering because of Nyx, Erebus now faffing about the Mall and his own nightmares of becoming the Nyx Avatar getting even worse, he was just too damn tired to care. What did it matter, anyway? In a year, he'll lose Orpheus and then it won't matter if he could fuse Persona or manipulate reality. He'll always just be Death without his Assistant.]

Can't I just dream of cute girls for once? ... Without having to drown in the hot springs? Ugh...

...Oh hai other me. "Hey! Yeah, I was. Uh. Trying, anyway. Those bathtubs are so small, though."

Winded Thanatos is now sitting across from you. Annnnd notices the book that Orpheus usually has.

[Is pretty much hugging that book to his chest when he notices the other Thanatos staring at him.] What's wrong?

Don't worry, we weren't about to gank it, it just looked kinda...pretty for a book.

There are Persona!

[Opens the book so he can pull out one of the cards.]

"Oooooh." So THAT'S what they are. Maybe he can finally learn more about these things.

"So you, like, store them in there?"

That's right. This is the Persona Compendium. Though, only those with the Wild Card can use multiple Persona. Everyone else only has one.

"Hmm." Well, makes sense. If a Persona's a human's 'true self', then there'd normally be one.

The Persona in this Compendium are Orpheus' as well as Souji's. So this Compendium is a lot bigger than usual.

"Huh. And you...you said you make them, right?"

[First he sets the Compendium into his lap before he sets the cards face up down on the table. He takes a moment to gaze at the cards before whipping his arm out in front of him so the cards flip. He then raises his arms so the cards float into the air so they can brightly glow blue before flashing and then revealing a Persona in front of them. It's an Alp!

Who simply lounges out on the table while twitching her tail and giving the older Thanatos 'come hither' looks.]

"S'pretty cool." Can I have this job instead? Would you like to trade?
