Thanatos and Orpheus // Private Thread for the Win
[Thanatos can be found in the dorm room asleep on a pile of ancient tomes. There are a whole bunch of them scattered about his sleeping person and even a few across the room, most of those tomes open or bent from obvious abuse. Seems when they're useless, Thanatos throws them aside in frustration before preying on the next. It doesn't help most of them are in languages Thanatos doesn't know and so he outright can't use them in his sudden quest for research. Who knows how long he has been at this... It doesn't seem like he'll be asleep like that for any much longer either since he's going through all the signs he's in one of his nightmares.]

It's just like December 31st, isn't it...? I didn't get you then just like you don't get me now. Why fight the inevitable? However, you fought the inevitable and won... It gives me hope that I can do the same and save you. No matter the sacrifice.

[And even if the only reason is to prevent that from happening, you still get the answer you want.] I'll try, then.

How many times do I have to tell you? You don't have to thank me. Now stop crying. [Sounding mildly annoyed, but it's obvious he's just kidding around. Trying to cheer up the boss and all that.]

Hey, Orpheus ... Do you understand what's written in that?

Can you find all of the ones you couldn't understand?

[Train of thought derailed, only now by a loud thud and the entire bed's weight shifting to one side. Looking at the source of the disturbance and-... Stare. That... is a large pile of tomes. Even compared with all of the other ones randomly stacked randomly about the room. Cue leaning to one side to look around the stack, expression something between a glare and... mild amazement. Mostly the latter.]
You need to stop throwing things when you're frustrated.

[You flipped one of the tables. ... Facepalm into forever. Splitting the huge stack into two piles, resting the one he was reading on the shorter one. Now excuse us as we disappear into the jungle of book stacks to clean up the mess you've made. Siiiiigh.]

... Oh, Orpheus?

What is i--! [KITTEN'D! Fell off from one of the book towers most likely, and found it's landing spot on your Assistant's head. ... Mews cutely. Clearly a Just As Planned moment.] ... You lost the cats?

... Those kittens sure know how to hide from Death well. Until he finds a few behind a particularly large stack of tomes and one even under an open, upside down book.]
